Last exam was the worst exam;
Typical.
& not just because some of the questions were horrendous either.
They noticed that the seen question we had been given was different to the one in the exam. Apparently it’ll be taken into account but come on… how on earth does that happen?! I don’t get how they can fairly mark that section.
That was the only question in that section of the exam I was confident with!
We didn’t get a periodic table until half way though either. With it being a chemistry exam, you’d think they’d know that we’d need one, wouldn’t you?
Guh.
A group of us are going into uni tomorrow to formally complain. We don’t trust the lecturer who came to the exam to tell the faculty, we think they’ll try & turn a blind eye to it.
First year of uni is finished now though! Going out to celebrate later, should be a good night!
Feeling horrendously guilty;
The screen on my laptop has a loose connection, so I have to keep it at a 45 degree angle for it to work, which is nearly impossible to work with.
So we went out last night & my dad’s bought me a new laptop, a Samsung one and an external hard drive so I can transfer over all my stuff.
I’m so so so grateful that he was okay with getting me a new one, I thought he’d make me put up with it until I finished my first year (in a couple of days) & then look into getting it repaired.
I feel so bad when they spend so much money on me though. Especially when I feel like it should be me paying for it myself because it was probably my fault that there is a lose connection from bringing it to/from uni on the train.
I’ve offered to pay the majority or half of whatever it came to in total but he just refuses to take any money for it.
Apparently they were contemplating getting me a new one anyway because my old one is massive & heavy & I find it difficult to carry to uni & back when I need it to do work. Plus, it hurts my back from that too.
Hopefully we’re going to get my now old laptop repaired so at least my parents can use it so it’s not just going to sit there gathering dust.
I really hope I can get a job so I can pay them back (& they’ll accept it!) & then not have to worry about having enough money in my bank to last me for my second year of uni.
Three down, one to go;
Microbiology & Genetics went okay, they set us too much to do in an exam which was only an hour long - very stressful.
One exam left until we can all celebrate finishing the first year of uni & being free for the summer.
The only thing keeping me motivated is that, the sunny weather is starting to become a distraction which is annoying!
Reading back over my old personal posts, despite revising for exams this time last year, I do miss it.
I seemed to be doing 549685708 more things than what I am now which is rubbish.

Despite only getting 3 hours sleep from stressing & getting up early to travel to Don Valley Stadium, my exam went well. Definitely some bits where I knew I hadn’t revised the topic in enough detail but never mind.
Didn’t feel like I was sat writing for 3 hours though!
Now I’m going to eat & curl up in bed. Giving myself the afternoon off before I start revising for my next exam on Thursday. Wah.
Mum’s bought a load of dyes from town & said she wanted to try tye-dying again. Asdkjhffgkj!
So tempted to by plain white bedding & a plain white dress & make them look awesome.
Bah, why can’t I do that instead of revising for my exams?!
Because I had to wait 45 minutes at my dentists in Doncaster for a 5 minute check up& for her to make my gums bleed, I spent less time on revision today than I would have liked. I’ve managed to get another seen question more-or-less done which is a start I suppose.
Saw a steam train locomotive clatter though Doncaster station on the way back though. You could tell there was something rare/interesting coming through because there was so many train spotters around, I’ve never seen so many.
Apparently it was Tornado, which was built like the Flying Scotsman & I swear I got more excited than the train spotters got then it came through. Sad, I know.
Apparently you can book to go on it, no idea where from/to but I’d love anyone who’d take me on it. Definitely take after my dad with liking trains & such paha.
